I call them nature band-aids because there's a general idea in American that the remedy for mutilated urbanism is nature. And in fact the remedy for wounded and mutilated urbanism is good urbanism, good buildings. Not just flower beds, not just cartoons of the Sierra Nevada mountains...

Pulled over for what? WTF?

The Euclid Corridor is pretty nice, eastbound. Can't wait until it runs both ways. The construction epicenter is currently right in front of my building.

I rode it westbound the other day. Noticed the cars pulling out of side-roads and driveways don't expect traffic so don't look. I suppose that'll get better. Apart from that and a few missing sections it was ok.

Yeah, pulled over for running the light at Harvard and Green.

I made the mistake of waiting at the Eastbound stop for a Westbound bus on the way home last night. The #6 blew by me while I was texting. I chased it unsuccessfully, and sat down in the next Eastbound stop.
Bah.

The little boop boop boop crosswalk noises at each intersection annoy quickly.

We've gotten complaints about the beeping . . . guess it is ADA compliant and that all the cool cities are doing it.

I've got a couch that needs a home. Has cushions and everything. Just needs a sweeping and a decent slip cover or reupholstering.

The little boop boop is eerie when there are no cars driving by and no one's around you. Think "I Am Legend"...

Jenita:
I bet the beeping/booping pisses off this blind man.

Bill:
"I Am Legend?" (I am not hip...?)
In good shape with couches for now, but thanks!

The new Will Smith movie out about the last man on earth. He roams the formerly busy streets of New York. I can imagine that, right before the power dies, the little beeping noises would be quite ominous...echoing up and down an empty city street. Especially in the artificial canyons of NYC.
