I need a new dentist and general practitioner.
Would you suggest anyone?

I haven't had a dentist appointment since I moved to Cleveland ~4 years ago. The ridges formed at the base of my lower premolars/molars look to be storing coffee nicely for a winter emergency, but are becoming worrisome. It's time.

My doctor lives some 10 miles away -- not a quick bike-hop from work -- and is too cold and condemning; makes me not want to go. (So I don't.)

If you know of a good dentist and/or GP/PCP not too far from downtown Cleveland, please drop a comment!

Hudec Dental at Lutheran Hospital on W25th is great. After my MetroHealth dentistry disasterbacle, I got an appointment the same week at Hudec. They're efficient, non-scary and though they'll try to sell you teeth-whitener, there is a minimum of snake oil.

If you tell them I referred you I'll get a free gas card too.

My PCP is Dr. Diana Pi at MetroHealth. She's great, and friendly and really helps cut through the cruft it might sometimes take to get a referral if your health insurance demands it.

Thanks a million, Adam...

Hudec's site lists a Dr. Mancuso as the only one at Lutheran.

Was he the one that helped you?

He got a pretty bad review on DoctorOogle.com...

When I didn't have health insurance, I went to Tremont Family Practice. It is definitely close to you and the doctor (forget his name) was friendly and helpful. He wasn't prescription-happy either. I know they take some insurance, but they were kind enough to set up a payment plan when I needed it. If I remember correctly, the hours were fairly convenient as well.

Yeah that's the guy. I don't have any tooth problems, so I mainly was there for teeth cleaning, which the dental assistants do. For the most part, dentists seem to be unnecessary unless you need fillings and such, I can't recommend him on that basis, but for general upkeep, Hudec is fine.

...so my dentist is doctor Zeina Waked at Hudec & Associates - 3329 Broadview in Old Broklyn. - 216.398.8900. They do a great job.

[Dentist]
Apparently Dr. Waked is now at Hudec's Strongsville location. Unfortunate for me, as she got a couple great reviews.
I'm going to give Dr. Mancuso (Hudec/Lutheran) a try next month.

[General Practitioner]
I'm forgoing proximity for institutional repute: planning to try a DO from the Cleveland Clinic.

Thanks for everyone's advice!
