But the chief ground of Skepticism is that to every reason there is an opposite reason equivalent, which makes us forbear to dogmatize.

Enjoying the new digs. Last few hours today spent at Civilization for the TWiFi, trying to catch up on inet fun that's slid out from under me lately while I've been without connection at the new home.
A few neighborhood network extensions to note...
Met my first Tremont vigilante/visionary last week. Guy plies his trade, with K-9 partner Yogi Yoga Bear, from streetcorner -- lately, on Lincoln Park -- selling the Homeles Grapevine news, and talking with anyone and everyone. Former veteran, ex-vista, and self-avowed neighborhood watchman and activist, he is fiercely independent, works within/without the community, perhaps overly conspiracy-cautious? He knows we're extraterrestrial clones... Yao, yas look forward to future interaction.
Last night, I joined Adam, of Tremonter.com for a couple pint-stops on his Guinness in Tremont Pub Crawl. Talk of neighborhood hotspots, etymology, running, blogs, onlychilding, and hosecleaning. Good impetus for to get back into electro personal pursuits.

A little philosophy inclineth man's mind to atheism; but depth in philosophy bringeth men's minds about to religion.

For one more or less free bar, there are twenty which suffocate under the weight of a tradition, whose hypocritical and base influence, in spite of my efforts, I keep encountering.

gobbled...
A year-ago-today's excerpt from my foodlog.
2004-08-16
- 1 chai tea w/ milk
- 1 bowl of muesli cereal w/ milk (before leaving home)
- 1 coffee (w/ troubled man on street)
- 3 bananas (pressed to rush right when I got to work; gobbled... silly)
- 1 espresso (nice!)
- 2 bananas
- 1 coffee
- 1 bananas
- 1 apple
- 4 or 5 small pretzels
- 1 huge rice/bean/veggie/cheese/etc burrito from Que Tal (burrito was good and I will probably digest it all just fine, but I would've felt much better had I spaced things out a lot more)
