I like taking the "dig the patterns in this leaf" approach instead of the L-system fractal approach.

That's incredible! (I don't know what the L-system is---I know what fractal means so I assume you're not talking about the "El" train)

This center of a daisy, however, is not an example of an L-system fractal.
It reminded me of the (sometimes purposely) unnoticed complexity of nature. Dave summed up pretty well a struggle that I face too, between unassuming acceptance-satisfaction and quest for understanding.
