On Sunday's plane ride home from Boston, Continental Airlines was kind enough to provide me with some fine magazines. I read a few articles in the latest Ford Foundation publication. Two items were particularly interesting:

• One article on ancient removal of scripture from the Bible and how this has influenced the religion to be more centered around a creed than about any sort of individual spiritual discovery.
• The other an interview with the executive director of the ACLU regarding curtailing of civil liberties following Sept 11th.
